Just a bit of fun really, if you could have one film on 16mm made from any transfer source what would it be ?, ( if money was no object ) , i'll start, mine would be
"Shawshank redemption".

Can I get an IB Tech of The Thing (82), please :-) I’d be happy with a good colour one, but only from film source, no digital transfer

Paul, thats a hard one to call, You've put us on the spot. Almost impossible to call one title only but at first thoughts i would go with possibly with T2 for the action but it is a hard one to call.

I think the original question was referring to a new 16mm film made from a digital source, any title you want as no negative would be required. Some of the answers above were existing films in their collections.
Hard one for me also but I would get a brand new 16mm print of T2, but existing copies might exist. As for a more recent choice I would go for a 60 minute cutdown each of both Avatar and Avatar 2 as these would not exist currently. But TBH there is not many modern films I would pay for that are not currently already on 16mm or Super 8.

A brand new 16mm copy of Bless This House movie (1972) I would love to have if the colours were perfect. Lovely 70's British nostalgia.

As of my thinking right now, I would go for a copy of "Caddyshack"...but in an hours time I may have another answer.

That makes it even harder to choose now, I honestly dont think i could list one single title. I could maybe list one from certain categories, like, war/sci-fi/comedy etc 🤔
