Bilko, Operation Love,(series 3 episode 29, 1958)

Viewed our second Phil Silvers show print the other evening, another very good copy in excellent condition.
This episode is titled, Bilko, "Operation Love, (series 3 episode 29, 1958)" .
Purchased from the states last year, it was recieved as you see it here, a well looked after print and only one single splice. Excellent b/w print with very good sound.
We would have liked to buy a couple more of these but unfortunately, for some unknown reason, the shipping charges from the same buyer have doubled to around $60, i think someones having a laugh!!

The WAC's of Fort Baxter are unhappy about the time their men are gambling with Bilko. The girls fight back by transferring away from Fort Baxter. Within weeks there are no WAC's on the post. Ernie must find a way to save the day.

WOW Tom, I used to love watching Bilko back in the 70's and loved Phil Silvers in Mad Mad World and what a fabulous looking print, I'll tell you what, your collection really is top notch, great titles and great quality too, well done mate.

Cheers Del, we have been very lucky with most of our 16s with much of our collection coming from private collectors. To be fair, if Dave Guest hadn't had those copies of Blue Thunder and the scope copy of Kidnapped i probably wouldn't have even thought of getting back into 16mm. You may recall Blue Thunder was a film my Mum took me to see in the early 80s and when she asked if we had it i rang DG and there was a copy on his shelf. I was hooked, then along came some great titles for us such as Dances with wolves, Witness, Bullitt and Cross of Iron to name a few. We have also sold off some movies to finance the hobby but it's been well worth it. Just a few more titles to hunt down now. Will let you know what they soon.

As for Bilko, they are always a good laugh and we never tire of them. We now have the two episodes but if i can find a couple more with this sort of quality i would add them in if the price was right. The collector i bought these from in the states did a very good price for us, it's only the shipping now thats put a stop to it as it is more than the films were.

I've got one episode, and it's this same one. Print is incredibly sharp.

Oddley enough, we kept missing out on the ones with Paul Ford player Colonel Paul Hall, him and Bilko together were always a great laugh.
